Last run pre-surgery

Image
I had my last run yesterday with this crew, it was an amazing spring day as the sun fought to break through the mist. 4.2 miles, it felt comfortable but even that short distance, my knee was beginning to hurt near the end. However, it gave me positive vibes in the run up to my surgery on Friday. It has been a real struggle not being able to run as I'd like to and without pain. I've visited some dark places since undergoing surgery in November. I was so close to returning before tearing my cartilage again. All signs point to the surgery bring too conservative last time, which left me predisposed to tearing it again. Fingers crossed that this time, the surgery will be successful. Official Launch of new Running blog

So today, see's the official launch of my new running blog. I say new as my last blog 'Three chickens and a runner' is no longer active for a few reasons, one the chickens have moved on to the chicken run in the sky and two, life caught up with me and I had to have a break from the blog. However, a few years later and trainers back on my feet, I'm all set to go again! Well nearly....I have the small matter of knee surgery to get over, and then the real challenge starts - my rehab and preparation for 2019's big event, the Berlin Marathon in September! So the official launch of the blog coincides to two exciting events today. The arrival of my charity shirt for Get Kids Going ! and also the arrival of my new trainers (Adidas Ultra Boosts)! I will be officially launching my fundraising for Get Kids Going! in another blog post on March 1st, so look out for that! Get Kids Going! Berlin marathon 2019 My new Adidas Ultra Boosts
